We Join Other Advocates To Demand Actions to End Violence Against Women in Sierra Leone

Indeed we are sadden to hear of the death of Sia Kamara, a young woman whose life was tragically cut short due to Intimate Partner Violence.

Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones during this painful time.

This heartbreaking incident is not an isolated one. According to the latest crime statistics, Sierra Leone recorded 8,899 cases of domestic violence, with thousands of these cases still under investigation. This data underscores the hidden epidemic of violence that women in our country face every day.

At A Girl At A Time Sierra Leone, we condemn all forms of violence against women and girls. We call on authorities to ensure justice for Sia Kamara and to take urgent steps to protect every woman and girl in Sierra Leone.

It’s time to end this cycle of violence and create a society where every woman and girl can live free from fear and abuse.

We stand committed to this cause and urge everyone to join us in demanding a safer future for all women and girls.
